Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti

About…

Shrouded amongst the toothed peaks of the Dolomites, sits a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where a modern resort that rests amidst a chic Ski area of Madonna di Campiglio. This is a popular destination that Europeans congregate to during peak Ski Seasons, due to its reputation for high levels of service and luxury. Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti was opened in 2019 and has already been lauded for its remarkable location, ski networks (Sella Ronda is a highlight), the resort’s style & character, service & facilities and delicious cuisine. The Resort is renowned for its winter related activities such as downhill or cross-country skiing and snowboarding, but we do recommend visiting in the summer too! During the warmer months the Rendena Valley is a hikers paradise.

The Resort is comprised of 88 Suites and 21 Residences. Each accommodation type are incredibly spacious, with a minimum of 57 square metres, along with a king or twin size bed en-suite bedroom and balcony. Families are always invited, as rooms can accommodate additional beds and the Family Suite is 92 square metres with two double rooms. Whilst in resort, parents will be glad to know that kids are fully catered for; as children’s menus, a Family Sauna area and the pool area for over-10’s are accessible. The style of each room is founded around an alpine themed design; with wood panelling, cosy beds, wooden floors, handcrafted furniture, large & free-standing baths and granite stone incorporated into the façades. For those who have more lavish ideas of their holiday, you will be pleased to know that Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti provides an Exclusive SPA Suite and a Royal Pool & SPA Suite that possess an area of 100 square metres and 430 square metres respectively. These options will leave you drawling, as guests will be able to make use of the thermal showers, Bio-sauna and terrace.

The Lefay wellness concept continues to flow throughout the resort and you are never once reminded that you are not within a luxury 5-Star setting! Holistic wellness & sustainability are core to Lefay’s user experience and these facets are ever-present throughout, with particular note of its innovative spa practices (experience the in-house Lefay SPA Cosmetic Line - Tra Suoni e Colori), swimming pools and other facilities. For instance, enjoy a blend of Eastern and Western therapies, treatments, health programmes and a modern gym floor that will encourage ultimate rejuvenation. No 5-star experience is complete without renowned cuisine and the dining options are eminent within the region. The resort’s main restaurant, The Dolomia, creates a menu themed around seasonal gastronomic experiences that see traditional Mediterranean dishes adapted with modern ingredients and techniques. For a change in theme, the Grual Organic Restaurant showcases its emotive cuisine through fine-dining. All meals are crafted using ethically sourced produce from organic suppliers in Trentino-Alto Adige. Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti welcomes children, but does have a disciplined policy in place. Currently, the resort accepts a limited number of children (11 years and under) in dedicated rooms. In the spirit of 5-star experiences, the resort does have a crèche, which is open from 11.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. everyday.

Ski & Steam!

Challenging ourselves on the slopes & runs is an enticing prospect for most active seeking holidaymakers! Pinzolo is a blessed location, as it’s surrounded by the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Dolomites. With more than 150 km of slopes, avid skiers return year on year! It is possible to ski or snowboard from the enchanting Pinzolo to Madonna di Campiglio, all with one ski single pass. This modern set of resorts has 57 ski-lifts to transport its winter athletes and it has a vast settings that is comprised of elevations between 852 and 2,504 metres. This region contains four snowboard parks, so you will find it is accommodating to both disciplines. On top of this, the region is recognised for holding major sports competitions, such as the Alpine Ski World Cup. This is the ideal setting for a family of skiers, due to its vast and varied landscape. For the more novice of skiers in your group (and for those who wish to have a refresher lesson), there are several ski schools in Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo. There are approximately 500 professional ski instructors during the peak seasons, so group and private lessons are available in abundance.

Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti sits within the almighty Rendena Valley (or as it affectionately known by its locals, Val Rendena). The famous silhouette of the Dolomites peaks cover the area of the Trentino and Alto Adige provinces’ and creeps into Veneto. This is truly versatile terrain and is transformed during the summer months into a safari-style European oasis. Lago di Braies (Pragser Wildsee) and Lago di Dobbiaco (Toblacher See) are two alpine lakes that have to witnessed in person, especially as water temperatures can reach a refreshing 20 degrees in the summer months. It is therefore unsurprising that this region is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage listed site.

Historically, the Dolomites are a haven for winter sports addicts; because of its extremely hospitable resorts, inspiring natural scenery and wide-ranging and well-coordinated ski networks. A trip to the capital of the area, Bolzano (Bozen), has the ideal blend of contemporary services woven into pockets of medieval design. It won’t be too long into your holiday that you realise that most of the towns in Dolomites are spoilt with lush country views and Italian cuisine…but not as you may know it! Think more barley, beets, beans corn, legumes, mushrooms and pumpkins that have all been interwoven into a rich stew – perfect for the cooler months!
