Key Sustainable Features…

Vichy Célestins Spa Hotel is committed to protecting the planet for future generations by adopting a holistic approach towards sustainability and sustainable initiatives across multiple touch points in the hotel. This journey has started in early 2018 with the installation of the Trigeneration (CCHP) Plant; the hotel has since achieved waste and water reduction, better utilisation of resources and energy. In addition, energy saving LED lightbulbs have been installed across the Hotel, which has led to a marked reduction in energy consumption. The hotel is located in 18 hole golf course where Vichy Célestins aim to save water and electricity by using a drip irrigation system on the golf course and in the garden - the water is then recycled to irrigate the golf course and these gardens. Map & Location…

‘We'll Always Have Paris’…who needs Paris, when you have Casablanca on your doorstep!

Marrakech and Fes are typically noted for being the more popular tourist destinations in Morocco, but we implore potential holiday-goers to consider Casablanca as their next holiday choice. Casablanca is often noted as the Business capital of Morocco, but that’s not to say that it’s all work and no play! Morocco is the perfect playground for lovers of art deco splendours, a French colonial legacy, stone alleyways and brilliantly persevered artefacts.

To prove that we know what we’re talking about, we have cherry-picked three must see attractions -

Firstly, the Mosque ‘Hassan II Mosque’ is a prime example of how a religious site can be set in a contemporary light. This place of holy worship was constructed in 1993 and boasts the impressive feat of being the second largest Mosque in the continent of Africa. Hassan II Mosque can accommodate over 100,000 worshippers and even allows non-Muslim visitors to experience this stunningly adorned Mosque through guided tours.

Have you heard of Rick’s Café? Well you should have! This Piano Bar was designed with the Humphrey Bogart classic, Casablanca, in mind. The two pioneering spirits behind its theme were a former American Diplomat (Kathy Kriger) and Architect (Bill Willis) who were both devoted to Curtiz’s romantic masterpiece. Everything from its Palm Trees, Bar, Piano Stage, Brass Chandeliers and Cocktail Menu pay delightful homage to the 1942 classic…time to ‘round up the usual suspects’ and have an unforgettable evening!

To conclude our ‘Top 3’, readers may be interested to know a little more about the Abderrahman Slaoui Museum. This exhibition showcases some of the more unusual pieces of Moroccan art. Its owner, Abderrahman Slaoui, was a Businessman and Art Collector with a great eye for an unappreciated treasure. Hung from its walls and ceilings; the Museum flaunts figurative portraits, landscape paintings and ancient posters & from its cabinets and mounts, guests can observe striking jewellery, relics and vases. There is even temporary exhibitions that feature up & coming Moroccan artists.

If you still have time to fit anything else into your day, make sure to visit; Museum of Moroccan Judaism, Central Market, Place Mohamed V, Parc de la Ligue Arabe, Corniche and much more…
